JOB SUMMARY
This position is in the Maintenance Department and reports directly to the I&E Manager.
The I& E Technician will interface with the appropriate maintenance and manufacturing resources to diagnose, improve, and resolve instrument and electrical maintenance activities in a safe, responsible, and environmentally sound manner. Technician will ensure that instrument and electrical equipment are repaired and maintained for maximum reliability and in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform trouble shooting, repairs, calibration, and new installation tasks for instrumentation work assigned according to daily/weekly maintenance schedule - 50% .
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, switching, isolation. and new installation tasks for electrical work assigned according to daily/weekly maintenance schedule - 30% .
Update maintenance coordinators with job status and submit repair reports and documentation to meet ISO requirements. - 10%
Reports the progress of the work to the IE&A Eng./Lead and Maintenance Coordinator - 10%
The duties of this position are conducted with the following considerations:
Changing production requirements- quality, quantity, customer needs andlogistics

Maintenance workforce availability andcapabilities
Follow and adhere to the maintenance work process and repairprocedures.
Must adhere to the Arkema Electrical Safe Work Practices Policy and Guidelines for the CLOsite.
Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, holidays and after hour callouts.
Perform elevated work on scaffolding and aerial lifts (JLG. scissorlifts)
Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internalrequirements.
Participate in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
Supports and promotes the repo1iing of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident, or injuryincidents.
Understands and Supports the Clear Lake Facility Acrylic Monomers HSE2Q Commitment
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years field maintenance experience with electrical and instrumentation.
EDUCATION AND AREA OF FOCUS High school diploma
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAININGS Instrument or Electrical Technical degree/ Certificationpreferred.
COMPETENCIES – KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Good written and oral communication skills to interface with operations and maintenancepersonnel
Ability to follow maintenance procedures forequipment.
Ability to read, understand and utilize equipment drawings andP&ID's
Works well inteams
Computer skills is aplus.
Knowledgeable in the use of hand and power tools related to electrical & instrumentationwork.
Knowledgeable in motor controlsystems
Basic knowledge of Adjustable Speed Drives construction. operation, troubleshooting, and preventivemaintenance
Basic knowledge of Multilin 369 Motor ProtectiveRelays
Skilled in interpreting electricaldiagrams/schematics
Skilled in utilizing electrical and instrumentation diagnosticequipment.
Skilled in motor terminology and maintenanceprocedures
Knowledgeable in dry type transformer construction, troubleshooting, andwiring
Knowledgeable in locating and isolating 480V ground faults on systems using ground fault locationequipment.
Knowledgeable in plant equipment grounding systems construction, testing, andmaintenance.
Knowledgeable in UPS functions, troubleshooting, and preventivemaintenance
Knowledgeable in troubleshooting of electrical control circuitry and distributionequipment
