Responsibilities
Operate dishwashing machines to clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment, ensuring they are free from contamination before reuse.
Keep kitchen and dining areas clean by removing trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning surfaces and equipment.
Support other kitchen staff by restocking supplies, unloading deliveries, and preparing cooking stations as needed.
Use and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines and hand wash stations.
Adhere to food safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Place items on the service line and serve food: doughnuts, cereals, fruit, butter, syrup, desserts, napkins, paper cups, dishes, and serving utensils; turn on steam table and grill.
Clean cafeteria equipment and tables: wipe tables, replace salt and pepper shakers, clean steam tables, counters, tray rails, juice, drink, and coffee dispensers, and other cafeteria equipment.
Perform miscellaneous related duties.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
Knowledge of sanitation standards.
Ability to lift, stand, and walk up to eight hours per day.
Excellent communication skills to interact with the public.
Experience not specified (prior food service/cleaning experience preferred).
