Job Summary The Campground Host will be the first point of contact to greet and assist visitors, answer questions and explain regulations. Work is completed mostly outside in varying weather with insects, and requires walking or bicycling.

Compensation $19.50 USD hourly

Responsibilities

Perform light maintenance around the campground, including litter pickup, sweeping, and stocking restroom supplies.

Clean campsites: rake pads, wash tables, clear fire rings, and report damage. Sites are cleaned after each check‑out and before new check‑in.

Keep track of occupied and vacant sites.

Assist staff with the camper reservation process.

Document complaints or safety issues and report them to the supervisor.

Model good housekeeping and observe all rules and regulations.

Work most weekends and holidays.

Provide information on tours, boat, bike, canoe/kayak rentals, and trails.

Ensure generators are shut down by 8 PM.

Address quiet time issues as needed.

May be assigned other duties and projects not listed.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements

Partial high school education; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Strong customer service skills; proactive in assisting customers and coworkers.

Ability to recognize problems and communicate them to management.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Move frequently on foot, lift, carry, and reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of customers.

Read and write work‑related documents in English.

Speak clearly in English and understand others.

Physical presence at the job site is essential.
