Job Title: Independent Living Coordinator (W-2, Full-Time) Location: Hollywood, CA Schedule: Full-Time | Tues – Saturday or Sun – Thurs; 2pm – 11pm (with two 15 minutes and a half hour break) Compensation: Competitive, based on experience Reports To: Clinical Leadership / Program Director

Position Summary The Independent Living Coordinator (ILC) plays a critical role in supporting residents in a sober living and transitional recovery environment. This position focuses on helping clients develop daily living skills, maintain structure and accountability, and progress toward employment, independence, and sustained recovery.

The ILC serves as a bridge between clinical treatment and independent functioning, providing hands‑on support with housing logistics, routines, employment readiness, medication facilitation, and basic programming while reinforcing program expectations and recovery-oriented behaviors.

Key Responsibilities Sober Living Operations & Client Support

Assist with room assignments, move‑ins, and move‑outs

Track resident census, attendance, and basic compliance

Support residents in maintaining clean, organized living spaces

Help implement and monitor house schedules, routines, and expectations

Communicate observations and concerns to clinical and leadership staff

Get clients grocery cards weekly

Independent Living Skill Development

Assist residents with computer use, email setup, resumes, online applications, and job searches

Support residents in identifying employment, volunteer, and vocational opportunities

Help residents access community resources (benefits, transportation, basic services)

Encourage development of time‑management, responsibility, and self‑advocacy skills

Medication & Daily Structure Support

Facilitate and monitor medication administration support in accordance with program policy (non‑clinical)

Assist residents in developing daily routines that support recovery and stability

Provide reminders and structure around appointments, obligations, and responsibilities

Programming & Engagement

Help create and facilitate basic structured activities and life‑skills programming

Support recreational, vocational, or recovery-oriented groups as assigned

Encourage appropriate peer engagement and pro‑social behavior

Collaboration & Documentation

Maintain accurate logs and basic documentation as required

Communicate consistently with clinical staff regarding resident progress or concerns

Model professional boundaries, ethical conduct, and recovery-oriented behavior

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology, social work, or related field preferred

Experience working in sober living, residential treatment, case management, or supportive housing strongly preferred

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple residents and tasks

Comfortable assisting with computers, job applications, and basic administrative tasks

Ability to maintain professional boundaries while offering supportive, compassionate guidance

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in recovery services, behavioral health, or peer support

Familiarity with employment resources, vocational programs, or community services

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Lived experience in recovery (not required, but welcomed if appropriate boundaries are maintained)
