Job Summary M1 is looking for a Tool and Parts Attendant
Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment.
Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
Searches for lost or misplaced tools and prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
Unpacks and stores new equipment.
Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn‑out equipment to superiors.
May coat tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun.
May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.
Qualifications and Experience
High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
Thorough understanding of DOD aircraft maintenance processes preferred.
Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data).
Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
Obtain/maintain security clearance, DOD CAC privileges, and Special Access Badge requirements.
Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends as required.
Current valid U.S. Driver's License.
Must be willing and able to deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous and professional manner.
Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
Working Conditions
Environment ranges from office to hangar and flight line and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
