At SIRM, our Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, and Physical Therapists work together to help patients maximize their function and improve their quality of life. Position Summary
The Medical Assistant (MA) Administrative supports SIRM providers and staff by performing essential office operations, including patient check‑in and check‑out, scheduling, medical record management, billing support, and patient communications. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities. Key Responsibilities
Greet patients, register charts, and ensure required forms and insurance information are complete. Schedule and manage appointments, maintain provider schedules, and optimize office workflow. Manage phone calls, patient portal messages, and triage communications. Support patient checkout, collect payments, and provide follow‑up instructions. Process medical records requests and maintain accurate charts. Oversee office inventory and coordinate ordering/restocking. Provide feedback, train team members, and support leadership initiatives. Promote a positive team culture and adhere to HIPAA and company policies. Travel between Rochester and Bloomfield offices as needed. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; prior medical office experience preferred. Knowledge of EHR systems, practice management software, and medical terminology preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to manage sensitive patient information with professionalism and discretion. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and supporting a diverse patient population. Understanding of insurance verification processes.
