Job Summary
The School Custodian performs general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college or university campus environment.

Basic Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
No experience required; on‑job training provided
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications
Prior customer service experience
One year of prior similar work experience
Responsibilities
Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways
Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, mop floors
Check trash receptacles, empty as needed
Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
Notify lead cleaner or manager of needed repairs or additions
Maintain effective communication with clients, co‑workers, and supervisors
Separate recycling into proper receptacles
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls
Polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, using hand trucks if needed
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
Perform incidental seasonal tasks such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, removing snow
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms (clean and polish as needed)
Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
