Job Overview : The TMS Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) equipment to provide safe and effective treatments for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role is unique in that the TMS unit may be utilized on a mobile trailer, requiring travel to various Native American communities throughout the region to provide treatment. The TMS Technician will be responsible setting up and operating the mobile TMS unit after transport. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work independently while spending up to three days per week away from the primary worksite.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS):

is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain to help improve symptoms of depression and other neurological conditions.

Create Lasting Change: The Impact You’ll Have:

Operate the TMS system safely and according to established protocols. Set up the mobile TMS unit, ensuring proper functioning of all equipment. Provide patient support before, during, and after TMS sessions, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain accurate patient treatment records in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with licensed mental health professionals to coordinate treatment plans and follow-ups. Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of TMS equipment. Travel to multiple Native American communities as scheduled, including potentially staying overnight for up to three days per week. Demonstrate cultural humility and respect while interacting with patients and community members. Follow all safety protocols related to the operation of TMS equipment and mobile unit transportation.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma (or equivalent) required; some college coursework preferred. Must successfully complete BrainsWay TMS training upon hire. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive required. Flexibility to travel and stay overnight in community settings up to three days per week. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully in culturally diverse environments. High attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols and treatment guidelines. Prior experience in a healthcare setting or working with mental health populations preferred.
