Responsibilities

Repair, modify, and service high precision plastic injection molds and related tooling. OEE (overall equipment efficiency) KPI within Operate Tool Room machines, including mills, grinders, lathes, drill presses, etc.

Study blueprints to determine material dimensions, required equipment, and operations sequences.

Provide support to other departments in order to resolve quality and production problems.

Maintain parts inventory, work order entry, and other data entry tasks accurately.

Record specifications, production operations, and final dimensions of tools for use in establishing operating standards target goal and procedures.

Protect intellectual property and confidential information.

Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.

Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School General Education Required English Fluent

Required Mold repair experience 3 years

Required experience with Tool Room machines, including mills, grinders, lathes, EDM 3 years

Welding 2 years Preferred

Working in an injection, molding production environment-Tool Room 3+ Preferred

Mold troubleshooting skills Required

Ability to polish cores and cavities Required

Proficient in Scientific Injection Molding principles Preferred

Ability to work on hot runner systems and ability to connect and test plastic injection molds Preferred

Technical Skills

Basic computer skills Required

Ability to read blueprints Preferred

Experience using an overhead crane for mold installation Preferred

Run EDM Machine, make electrodes Preferred

Manufacturing environment. Some exposure to office environment.
