Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly, answer questions courteously, recommend products, and thank guests for shopping. Support the total shopping environment, including visual displays and current sales initiatives. Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system and ensure top‑notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, escalating issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefit programs such as reservations, trade‑in, and Pro Rewards. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations for store associates and training associates in all job responsibilities. Observe associate performance, provide feedback to the Store Manager, and address unsatisfactory performance. Provide timely recognition and feedback to all associates; input written feedback into Workday/HR system. Ensure all associates complete onboarding, training, and compliance training prior to opening or closing a shift. Schedule associates, ensure breaks and meals are scheduled, and supervise staffing levels to achieve optimum guest service. Approve payroll, enter paid time off, and verify that associates are paid for all time worked. Maintain clean, organized, and merchandised store areas; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order. Fulfill and ship Omni‑Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices; inspect associate packages at closing or shift end. Support team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals. Count, balance, and reconcile daily POS transaction totals accurately. Verify shipments, record discrepancies, conduct inventories, and communicate to Store Manager. Process defectives, recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly. Maintain awareness of associate and guest safety; report injuries promptly. Assist in maintaining store records, manuals, and documents in an organized manner. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Consistently adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Adhere to all opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Proof of identity and eligibility to work legally in the United States. Minimum 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in business, marketing, merchandising or related field. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge is preferred. Key Job Skills and Abilities

Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills. Genuine and individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication, including bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to achieve objectives in a fast‑paced environment. Work independently and within a team; perform all tasks timely. Meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate POS computer system. Basic mathematics skills and alphabetizing. Complete required paperwork properly. Execute financial tasks in strict accordance with company policy. Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Manage pressure and adapt to stressful situations; be creative problem‑solver. Reliable and trustworthy; use good judgment. Work alone; stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 12 hours/day. Lift merchandise up to 30 lbs. to a minimum height of 4 feet. Benefits

Full‑time store positions are eligible for incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Positions may also be eligible for a bonus and other incentives. Compensation
