Holter Technician – Rapides Regional Medical Center
We are seeking a Holter Technician to provide high‑quality, efficient care for patients in our Cardiology (EKG) Department. This role will perform electrocardiograms, attach blood pressure and Holter monitors, and assist with other cardiology tests.
Responsibilities
Carefully check each test requisition for validity, duplication, medical record number, and proper charges.
Perform patient testing proficiently.
Maintain test equipment with proper cleaning and supplies.
Strive to understand patient needs and respond accordingly.
Record all EKG requests and procedures in a work logbook with accurate attention to test details.
File records accurately.
Verify accuracy of computer charges.
Respond to changes in schedule and stat orders immediately.
Explain procedures to patients and ensure relaxation for proper results.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or GED.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR for Healthcare Providers, obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
