About This Role TRAVEL POSITION - Robinson Brothers Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled Telecom/Underground Utilities Laborer to join our traveling crew. Our contracts span the Pacific Northwest and the West Coast, encompassing the western states. Travel is expected and required.

Immediate Need - HIRING NOW We are looking for talented individuals who are enthusiastic and ready to travel to various job sites.

What You’ll Do The Construction Laborer will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects, including placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, testing, and maintenance services.

Daily Responsibilities

Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes, and weight of construction materials and equipment.

Hand dig using shovel and mechanical tools.

Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.

Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.

Work in congested or remote areas.

Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.

Perform general construction work under the direction of Foreman/Supervisor.

Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.

Learn all aspects of crew and assist the operator and foreman as assigned.

Set up, prepare, and clean up construction sites.

Develop an understanding of buried utilities.

Lift heavy equipment and supplies.

Travel is a must.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and Motor Vehicle Report.

Possess a valid driver's license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.

Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years).

Successful completion of Quanta/RBC Safety compliance training and onboarding.

Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment safely.

Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools safely.

2 to 3 years of experience in underground utilities.

Class A CDL is a PLUS (higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.

Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.

Travel is required.

Work Environment This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. The job operates outdoors and is regularly exposed to various weather conditions and environments. The location may occasionally expose workers to natural gas and risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels is possible.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours), tolerate extreme weather, listen and speak worksite safety instructions, regularly lift 50 pounds, and meet specified vision requirements.

Compensation Range The anticipated compensation is USD $18.00/Hr. - USD $26.00/Hr., depending on experience and qualifications.
