Grounds Laborer – CB&I, Fort Irwin, CA Job Overview

The Grounds Laborer will perform work in accordance with the PWS requirements of the Branch, i.e., mowing, raking, weed abatement, tree trimming, weed eating, planting of shrubs, trees (up to 6 feet), grass, fertilizing, street maintenance and policing of areas listed in the PWS. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Perform a wide variety of labor tasks involved in the maintenance of facilities, street maintenance equipment and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center. Provide labor tasks to assist tradespeople in the repair and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds at the Fort Irwin National Training Center and occasionally the Barstow Dagget Airfield. Participate in all APTIM/HDSS EHS and Quality procedures. Act professionally in the presence of the public and co-workers. Accurately track time, work orders, and parts using electronic devices. Basic Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: Working knowledge of landscaping equipment. License: Must possess a valid California driver's license. Working Conditions

Position involves extensive periods outdoors. Frequent exposure to dust, desert pollen, extreme heat and cold in a desert environment. Work week: Monday -- Friday, 0700-1530. Physical Factors
