FarmOn
Two Roots Farm is located in Basalt, CO, just 1 mile from downtown Basalt, about 15 minutes from Carbondale and roughly 30 minutes between Aspen and Glenwood Springs. The farm has been practicing regenerative agriculture since 2016, focusing on organic growing, minimum tillage, biodynamic compost, and high biodiversity to produce safe, healthy food without chemicals.
We supply a 200+ member CSA, an onsite farm stand, local restaurants, and community programs such as Lift Up Food Pantry and the Pitkin County Senior Center.
Job Description You will be a key member of our 8‑person crew, involved in all farm activities, from planting and harvesting to maintenance and customer interaction. You will help grow the healthiest food possible while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Harvesting, weeding, seeding, mowing, planting
Spreading soil amendments and mixing compost
Trellising crops and fixing farm equipment
Sales at the farm stand and packing CSA shares
Customer communication and CSA pick‑up days
Periodic cooking duties for the crew (once every two weeks)
Qualifications
At least two years of experience on a vegetable and/or farming operation (preferred)
Experience in a physically demanding job (required)
Management experience (preferred)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying conditions
Positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset
Spanish language proficiency (preferred)
Self‑motivation and ability to work alone
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Passion for regenerative farming principles
Openness to feedback and sharing in a team environment
Schedule & Compensation Job runs from May 4, 2026 through October 30, 2026. General schedule: Sunday‑Thursday 7:30 am‑4:30 pm, with CSA pick‑up days (Tuesday or Thursday) from 9:00 am‑6:00 pm. One hour each day for lunch (every second week you cook for the crew).
Pay: DOE $21‑$26 per hour.
