Hand Packer (Swing) Location: Springfield, OR

About The Job At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently hiring a Hand Packer based in Springfield, OR, to work swing shift Monday – Friday (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). This entry level position is responsible for packaging products manually, performing basic quality control checks—including accurate packaging, package counts, and weight, evaluating product and package appearance. Assembles boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets. Places product on conveying systems and supports machine operators with basic material replenishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and package products, including folding, taping, labeling, and stacking boxes onto pallets. Move pallets with an electric pallet jack.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Safely, efficiently, and accurately perform duties to manually move product through a production facility.

Follow standard operating procedures.

Engage in all safety, quality, and other company programs.

Understand and perform lockout tagout (LOTO) and other processes to assure safety for self and others on qualified machines.

Encourage coworkers to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Company mission, values, and code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.

About You

High School diploma or GED.

Basic computer skills (keyboarding, email, data entry).

Minimum 6 months of successful work experience that involves accuracy, dependability, and teamwork, ideally in a food production environment.

Maintain a safe working environment, functioning as a member of a cooperative team and safely perform job duties.

Obtain company certification in the safe and proper use of an electric pallet jack.

Ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing, which may include working hours outside of a typical shift, including weekends as needed.
