Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol Specialist
Location: Windsor, CT
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $21.83 / Hour
Job Schedule: DayTime Sat 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM; Sun 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM

What You'll Do
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and assisting authorized personnel as needed.
Remain alert and observant while on patrol, reporting any suspicious behavior or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, following established protocols.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and incidents, maintaining clear communication with Allied Universal management and site representatives.
Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including radios and firearms, in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Participate in ongoing training and drills to remain prepared for a variety of security-related situations specific to utility locations.
Minimum Requirements
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all applicable laws.
Allowed to consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with law.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements may be subject to state or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
