We are a leading beverage distributor in the Tampa Bay area, offering a broad selection of domestic and import beers, craft spirits, and non‑alcoholic beverages. We carry mega brands such as Budweiser, Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois, Busch Light, Corona, and Modelo.

Position Overview The Fleet Technician performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, vehicle bodies, control systems, hydraulic, electrical, air brake systems, engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. You will work with a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art equipment, supporting our drivers and servicing some of the most technically advanced vehicles on the road. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company‑owned tractors and trailers, drive them to test repairs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Work Schedule Full‑time: Monday – Friday; occasional weekend work.

Starting Pay Starting at $25–30 per hour (with overtime opportunities).

Primary Responsibilities

Repair and perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and other equipment.

Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment.

Run road calls to complete repairs on the road, if necessary.

Observe equipment in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures; conduct weekly fleet checks on all equipment.

Drive repaired trucks or other vehicles to verify conformance to specifications.

Inspect tires, conduct DOT inspections, and assess general appearance of vehicles.

Examine refrigeration units and make necessary repairs to electrical and diesel operation.

Maintain a checklist of all repairs made on each truck and keep accurate equipment files.

Keep the service truck stocked to facilitate road calls.

Maintain a clean work area.

Assist outside vendors with yard fleet inspections and maintenance.

Log maintenance and repairs in shop software.

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain quality appearance as outlined in the PDC employee handbook.

Attend all meetings, seminars, and training scheduled by management.

Maintain a Class‑A Commercial Driver’s License.

Requirements

2–5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic on commercial trucks or similar, or combined experience with successful completion of technical training.

Strong knowledge of Cummins software systems.

Clear verbal communication skills.

Ability to work well with others.

Safety‑mindful attitude.

Sound computer knowledge and ability to learn new software.

Current Commercial Driver's License preferred.

MS Office experience and electronic communication skills.

Must have your own tools.

The Physical Requirements

Regularly required to move around tight, low areas when repairing trucks.

Proficient with hand and air tools, including wrenches, drills, and grinders.

Able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather: high/low temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail.
