Palm Springs Post Acute and Healthcare Center, a 119‑bed Sub‑Acute and Long‑Term Care facility, invites you to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities

Food Preparation/Production Responsibilities

Review menus, production and prep guides to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared.

Prepare all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure the utmost quality with a minimum of waste.

Use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.

Operate a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table and tilt skillet.

Follow recipes.

Prepare and assist with special function meals.

Complete work assignments.

Food Safety

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred.

Prior work experience with food preparation a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age‑related needs of the residents served.
