Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Comply with all Food Safety Quality Assurance policies and USDA regulations, and coach team members on these expectations.

Complete inspections to verify product meets internal and customer specifications, taking appropriate actions when non‑compliance is observed.

Accurately conduct product reviews to meet grading, packaging and weight compliance procedures.

Monitor team members’ work practices and address deficiencies by informing the team member and reporting to the supervisor.

Monitor processing areas and practices to mitigate foreign material contamination.

Inspect equipment for cleanliness and readiness before startup or during the process, noting findings clearly and legibly.

Collect, track, and implement numerical data.

Communicate effectively with all levels of management and USDA.

Basic Qualifications

Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software.

Ability to move, open, and inspect plant‑produced products.

Capable of standing on concrete surfaces for up to 4 continuous hours within an 8‑hour shift.

Physically able to navigate all areas of the processing facility and follow safety procedures.

Able to perform strenuous work in a damp environment across a wide temperature range.

Dependable, prompt, with strong integrity and work ethic.

Can work independently while upholding PPC’s values to support the Quality Pillar and FSQA programs.

Ability to understand and follow instructions and learn methods and practices used in poultry processing.

Candidates Are Expected To

Work varying days, including weekends, when processing schedules change.

Maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and cooperation with coworkers and leadership.

Education High school diploma or equivalent.
