What You'll Do
Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
Install underground telecommunications cabling
Maintain work areas and operate construction equipment
Communicate clearly with all team members
Complete daily production reports
Help with site restoration efforts
Perform work in all weather conditions
Other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks is preferred
Physical Abilities & Exposures
Routine tasks: work at heights, entry into attics and crawl spaces, working alone in remote locations, operating vehicle and heavy machinery; flex, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance
Occasional tasks: use ladder, keyboard, and mouse

Summary of Position As a Ground Person, you will assist the assigned crew by furnishing tools, materials, and supplies; cleaning work area, machines, and tools; holding materials or tools for other workers; and performing traffic control duties as directed. The position requires familiarity with hand tools, ladders, and vehicles. Experience in telecommunications construction is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work safely with or without supervision
Ability to work standing at shoulder height and overhead for extended periods
Ability to lift and manipulate lashing and other cable placement equipment
Excellent manual dexterity
Ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to operate equipment, including aerial lift devices, lashing, hand tools, and understand their functioning
