Calvary Christian Academy (Hollywood) is seeking a Permanent Substitute Teacher.
Position Overview The Permanent Substitute will teach, train, lead, guide, and follow lesson plans to properly educate the grade level(s) in their care. The role requires working with students Pre-K through High School, including VE, and may involve TA duties such as clerical tasks, supervision tasks, and class coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
Model Christ in word and deed while teaching students with provided lesson plans.
Follow CCA Staff regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
Provide a safe environment for children.
Assist teachers with required tasks, duties, and class coverage.
Qualifications
Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
Strong commitment to the philosophies and mission of Calvary Chapel.
Bachelor's Degree.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and communicate with children.
Multi-tasking and orientation skills.
Positive disciplinary approach and monitoring of groups of children.
Flexibility and dependability.
Servant’s heart for Christ and His children.
Erase whiteboards at the end of each teaching day (stewardship).
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Employment Details Full-time, 40 hours per week, exempt teaching professional calendar, reports to Elementary Principal, location: Calvary Christian Academy, Hollywood.
