Base Pay Range $17.00/hr - $26.35/hr
Looking for a culinary career? This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in multiple kitchen roles while learning how a professional kitchen operates and supporting day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
Position Standards Must be able to read par stock lists, menus and chemical labels.
Physical Requirements Any listed requirement requires a pre‑employment physical to determine if the employee can meet the requirements.
Physical Activity – Frequently lifts objects of up to 50 pounds (e.g., dishes or food items). Upper Extremity – Must be able to work in warm and humid environments (sometimes exceeding 100°F) as well as walk‑in coolers and freezers. Must be able to push/pull tray delivery trucks and food carts. Push/Pull/Lift/Carry – The position requires the employee to be standing or walking 80% of each day worked.
Position Objective Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary work area and assists cooks as needed with prep work of meals.
Performance Expectations
Performs assigned cleaning duties.
Keeps storage areas neat and orderly.
Stocks shelves, rotates and dates inventory.
Participates in the evening meal and clean up.
Operates dish machine following the meal.
Assists co‑workers in a variety of duties, i.e., cleaning, food preparation, special functions.
