Field Services Technician

to join our managed services team and support multiple client sites in the Nashville area.

Job Summary The Technician, Field Services will provide onsite technical support, troubleshooting, installation, and configuration of hardware and software for client environments. The role requires strong customer service, technical expertise, and ability to manage client‑down situations.

Responsibilities

Travel onsite to client offices as defined; days not spent traveling will be worked onsite at IT Solutions or from home.

Install and configure workstations, laptops, printers, routers, and other peripheral equipment.

Answer technical service calls, create and manage customer tickets.

Triage customer issues, troubleshoot, and resolve problems in a timely manner; document issues.

Provide phone and onsite support to end users with an enthusiastic attitude.

Ensure creation of tickets and escalation to appropriate group(s).

Analyze and troubleshoot logs; track nature and resolution of problems; perform tier one incident analysis.

Escalate technical issues to vendor groups; drive incidents to resolution; collaborate across groups.

Work regularly with client’s internal service and project coordinators who assign tickets.

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

2 years of helpdesk experience, triaging reported issues and incidents.

1+ years as a Network Administrator installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network and security technologies.

Experience managing Windows desktop and Windows Server (2012‑Current).

Experience with Office 365 Exchange online and Microsoft Exchange (2013‑Current).

Experience with firewalls and remote VPNs (Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, Sonicwall, Fortinet).

Experience with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise Manage.

Active Directory administration and Office 365 management.

Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation; mileage reimbursed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong customer‑facing activity and teamwork.

Organized, detail oriented, self‑managed in fast‑paced environments.

Passion for solving problems and continuous improvement.

Understanding of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and hardware configuration.

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and use ladder steps.

Certificates and Licenses

CompTIA A+, Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS; Cisco certifications are a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation Package

Competitive salary $50,000‑$62,500 base.
