Staff Needed:
One (1) Part‑Time ESL/GED Tutor
Qualifications
Hold a NJ Instructional and/or a second language certificate in accordance with the state requirements, preferred
Hold a valid driver's license with no serious violations
Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
Have an excellent experience in teaching and working with at‑risk youth and young adults
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status by completing Federal Form I-9 in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
Pass the State required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6:3‑4A.4.
Work one‑on‑one and in a small group setting with students to help them gain the GED skills necessary to pass the language arts, math, science, and social studies to gain their alternative high school diploma
Work with students to gain the necessary job readiness skills to enter the world of work
To teach and assist with workplace readiness skills, college and career development
Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
Pending budget availability

Salary:
$22.00 per hour
