Current employee will start leave on 2/23/26 - would like the successful candidate to start on 2/9/2026 for training purposes.
Location Old Orchard Beach High School
Certification Requirements Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, Old Orchard Beach High School is a 200 student campus. We are looking for an excellent Art Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate should possess the following:
Citizenship, residency or work visa
Maine Department of Education CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) https://www.maine.gov/doe/cert/fingerprinting
Maintains or is eligible for Maine Department of Education Teaching Certificate
Qualifications / Job Summary
Establishes appropriate instructional goals and related objectives consistent with the system wide curriculum.
Prepares instructional plans and materials incorporating principles of effective instruction.
Creates, selects or modifies instructional plans and materials to accommodate learner differences.
Provides a clear description of the learning task and its contents.
Monitors student understanding and re--teaches as necessary.
Communicates oral and written information effectively.
Fosters a classroom culture of caring and respect.
Establishes and maintains appropriate learner behavior.
Establishes and maintains a classroom climate conducive to learning.
