Job Summary
Receives, rotates, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats.
Assists in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses.
Provides assistance to members by answering questions and recommending products.
Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the meat department.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
Answer member questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood; make recommendations when necessary.
Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds; assist meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood; may grind hamburger meat.
Inspect and store meat upon delivery; ensure all delivered meat meets or exceeds company quality standards.
Ensure meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked, rotating items according to expiration dates, following disposal guidelines for damaged/expired products.
Receive and unpack meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses in the meat cooler and freezer.
Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
Maintain all club policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
At least 18 years of age.
Environmental Job Conditions
Mostly moving on hard surfaces; may require bending, pulling, reaching, or stooping.
Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds; may require lifting heavier objects with assistance.
Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises; occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the following is a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on location, education, experience, and qualifications. Pay range: $17.75 – $21.30 per hour.
