Summer@WMA, Enrichment Camps, and Beech Tree Traditional Camp are hiring Summer Camp Counselors to support a high‑quality summer program on the campus of Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Western Massachusetts. This role is ideal for college students, recent graduates, educators, coaches, and youth development professionals seeking meaningful seasonal work in an engaging educational environment.
Our camps deliver structured enrichment, recreational programming, and traditional camp experiences while emphasizing leadership, mentorship, and community.
Summer Camp Counselor – Summer@WMA
Wilbraham & Monson Academy is an independent college‑preparatory boarding and day school serving more than 400 students from 32 countries and 11 states. Located in a traditional New England setting, the Academy is known for academic excellence, experiential learning, and a strong sense of community. Summer@WMA extends this mission through dynamic summer programs designed to engage, challenge, and inspire young learners. The Summer Camp Counselor is a full‑time, on‑site seasonal position responsible for supervising campers, leading daily activities, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and well‑organized camp environment. Counselors play a critical role in camper experience and serve as positive role models throughout the program. Key Responsibilities
Supervise campers and ensure their safety and well‑being Lead recreational, enrichment, and educational activities Support social‑emotional growth through mentorship and positive engagement Foster an inclusive and respectful camp culture Assist with daily operations, transitions, and special events Collaborate effectively with fellow counselors and camp leadership Required and Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with children or adolescents in camps, schools, or youth programs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment Reliability, professionalism, and sound judgment CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguard certification preferred Background in education, coaching, recreation, or youth development is a plus Employment Details
