Base Pay Range $34,820.00/yr – $51,950.00/yr
Job Description Responsible for receiving incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously, greeting patients, verifying demographic/insurance information, collecting co-payments/deductibles, and performing various clerical duties.
Job Responsibilities
Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls, routing them appropriately.
Organize messages and deliver them promptly to the necessary individual.
Greet patients and guests courteously and professionally.
Verify insurance coverage and demographic information.
Obtain insurance referrals and authorizations.
Direct patients to appropriate waiting or clinical areas.
Explain financial obligations to patients or responsible parties and collect co-payments, co‑insurance, or deductibles as required.
Facilitate or create appointments for follow‑up care, diagnostic procedures, physical therapy, or pain management.
Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Work varying shifts between: 7:30 am – 8:00 pm; 1–2 late nights (11:30 am‑8:00 pm) required; rotating weekend (1/month) required.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
Minimum one year of relevant experience working in a medical facility or related field.
Minimum one year experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment.
