Lead Staff, School Aged Child Care (Part Time, Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm)
Position: Lead Staff for School Age Child Care at the Kids Club (Boys & Girls Club of Worcester) located at 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm. This is a part‑time year‑round position, excluding school vacation weeks and summer break.
Must have reliable transportation and be at least 21 years old as required by EEC licensing.
Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and evaluate a broad range of programs for youth between ages 5 and 13.
Comply with all EEC regulations.
Provide academic support as needed and navigate remote learning tools, technology equipment, and instruction modes.
Support children in creating a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Communicate effectively: informing, listening, and writing to staff, families, and partners.
Qualifications:
Minimum age 21 (per EEC regulations).
Education/experience options (choose one):
• Bachelor’s or associate degree and at least three months of experience working with school‑age children; or
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience working with school‑age children, including three months of supervised experience at a school‑age childcare program; or
• At least nine months of experience with school‑age children, including three months of supervised experience at a school‑age childcare program.
Confidence in providing academic support, as needed, to members.
Competency in navigating remote learning tools, technology equipment, and modes of instruction.
Strong computer skills.
Excellent communication skills: informing, listening, writing.
Requirements:
All applicants must pass a criminal offender record information check (CORI), a national background check and will need to be fingerprinted in accordance with EEC regulations.
