What You'll Do Provide restaurant guests with excellent food quality, consistency, and professional service. Prepare all pastry and bakery items in accordance with quality, quantity, and presentation standards set by the Pastry Chef.

Responsibilities

Prepare all pastry items for the restaurant according to specifications.

Demonstrate, prepare, present, and execute each menu item to restaurant standards.

Produce food on a timely basis and be well-educated regarding the menu.

Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area, tables, shelves, pastry, cooking, and refrigeration equipment.

Follow departmental policies as well as restaurant rules, regulations, and policies set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management.

Report any maintenance or repairs needed to any kitchen equipment.

Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to the guests.

Prevent spoiling and contamination of foods by implementing proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with policies and health regulations.

Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen facilities.

Take on additional responsibilities beyond this job post as required.

Qualifications

1 year of prior experience in the pastry department of a high-volume, full-service restaurant or supportive role is preferred.

Time management and organizational ability required for high quality food production.

Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision to complete assigned tasks.

Food Handler Certification (if applicable).

Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Location & Compensation New Orleans, LA – $90,000.00–$110,000.00.
