In this role you will make an impact by:
Completing repair activities on generators or components
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintaining detailed records of service
Adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintaining own tools
Responsibilities
Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities
High Voltage / Low Voltage experience
Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands‑on exposure to working on power generation products
Basic Diesel Engine experience
Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components
Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and perform commissioning on a new ATS installation
Shift & Schedule This position is required to work Day shift but will sometimes be required to work Night or Graveyard shifts if the customer or job conditions require it. This position will also be trained for Electric Vehicle work; once trained we expect this position to support our business in the EV market.
Driver Requirements
A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
A current valid license is required for this role
This role requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
3 years driving experience
This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre‑employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
Experience
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
Customer service experience
Compensation & Benefits Salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits. Location: Kapolei, HI. Salary range: $45,500–$48,500 per year. Relocation package available. The role requires 100% onsite work.
