Location:
Tunbury Primary School, Tunbury Avenue, Walderslade, Chatham, ME5 9HY
Operational Hours:
Monday to Friday – 7am – 8:40am and 3pm – 6pm
Contract:
Casual Contract
Pay:
Up to £12.21 per hour

Responsibilities
Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age‑appropriate.
Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
Provide refreshments for the children.
Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care.
Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured activities.
Ensure all activities are age and skill‑appropriate while prioritizing safety.
Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
Keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date.
Follow proper sign‑in and sign‑out procedures for all children in our care.
Communicate professionally with team members, parents, children, and schools.
Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
Inspire team members and children to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
Requirements
Compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Must provide two references – one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting (if applicable).
DBS check will be conducted by the employer; prepare appropriate documentation.
