Housekeeper – Per Diem
Overview
Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital (NIAC) in Post Falls, Idaho is a long‑term acute care hospital dedicated to patients with serious, medically complex conditions. The facility offers advanced critical care services, respiratory therapy, complex wound care, and post‑intensive care rehabilitation in a healing, family‑like environment. The hospital is expanding with a new in‑patient rehabilitation (IRU) unit and is accredited by The Joint Commission.
The role of Housekeeper – Per Diem is to maintain a clean, safe, and infection‑controlled environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to hospital policies and standards.
Responsibilities
Dust, mop, and clean medicine cabinets, furniture, metals, mirrors, and equipment.
Vacuum blinds, screens, and vents.
Perform miscellaneous duties such as replenishing supplies.
Sterilize rooms following isolation procedures.
Integrate the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
Qualifications Required Skills
Previous housekeeping/environmental services experience preferred.
OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Qualifications / Skills
Knowledgeable of appropriate healthcare environmental services procedures.
Effective organizational and time‑management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
Ability to learn and practice healthcare environmental services procedures.
Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
