Pump Truck Driver – Events – Hollywood, FL

Compensation : $22 to $27
Job Summary : The Pump Truck Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre‑determined routes, controlling the truck's pump to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck. This position will assist with events as well as routes. The ideal candidate must be flexible on weekends to assist with event servicing/setups.
Job Classification : Full‑time; non‑exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Location : Hollywood, FL.
Responsibilities
Operate pump truck in South Florida for Events/Storms and safely control the pump for collecting receptacles and depositing their contents in the truck.
Pickup and deliver event trailers and assist with daily service.
Perform and document pre‑operation safety checks on the vehicle before embarking on a route.
Refuel the truck and perform basic maintenance.
Facilitate proper maintenance and mechanical service on the truck by appropriate mechanics.
Transport waste to the proper location for processing and/or disposal.
Notify dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and document them.
Maintain logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid Driver’s License (or equivalent) required to operate a pump truck.
3 years of required commercial driving experience (5 years preferred).
Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to pull a trailer.
Must be located within 20 miles of the greater Miami area / Hollywood, FL.
