Position Details
North Kitsap School District Substitute Teacher. Pay:
$100/half day; $200/full day . Type: Part‑time. Authority: The Commission of the North Kitsap School District, Washington state.
Responsibilities
Provide instruction to student classes in accordance with the curriculum and lesson plans provided by the original teacher.
Arrive on time and be prepared to work at least four days each month during the school year.
Notify the Substitute Coordinator if any scheduled assignment cannot be fulfilled; advance notice is required otherwise the candidate will be removed from the substitute list.
Maintain professional behavior and comply with all district policies, including pronunciation of names, policy on discipline, and safety procedures.
Follow all procedures for reporting advanced notice of unavailability, and complete required orientation and online training before being added to the substitute list.
Qualifications
Current Washington teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement for the assigned grade level.
Three letters of recommendation, in addition to any confidential references, verified before submission.
Full compliance with background‑check requirements; this includes disclosure of any previous disciplinary actions and completion of all required online courses.
Proof of completion of an introductory orientation program and all mandatory online training modules.
