As Apprentice Restoration Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assessment, containment, and removal of mold in residential and commercial properties. You will follow established protocols to ensure that mold is safely and effectively eliminated. Although direct experience is not initially required, the ideal candidate will have experience in mold remediation, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent attention to detail.

Position: Apprentice Restoration Technician

Department: Field Operations Reports to: General Manager

Job Summary The Apprentice Restoration Technician is an entry-level position responsible for assisting a Crew Lead with all aspects of mold remediation projects. This role involves hands-on work in various environments, focusing on learning and applying company protocols and safety standards. The primary objective of this position is to gain the necessary skills and experience to advance into a Crew Lead role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Project Execution: Assist the Crew Lead in all on-site activities, including setting up containment barriers, operating specialized equipment, and performing mold removal procedures.

Site Preparation & Maintenance: Ensure work areas are properly prepped and contained to prevent cross-contamination. This includes material staging, equipment setup, and post-job site cleanup.

Physical Labor: Perform demanding physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), moving debris, and working in confined or challenging spaces.

Equipment Operation & Care: Learn to safely operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment used for demolition and restoration.

Protocol Adherence: Strictly follow all Mold Medics' proven mold remediation protocols and safety procedures.

Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Crew Lead and other team members regarding job progress, challenges, and completion status.

Documentation: Complete all necessary job-related paperwork accurately and on time, including daily logs and project checklists.

Perform any other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications

Work Ethic: A strong willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently.

Physical Capability: The ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods in various conditions.

Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Teamwork: The ability to work cooperatively within a team-oriented environment.

No prior experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate.
