We are looking for passionate, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as part-time Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Pre‑K Program for the 2025‑2026 school year.
LOCATION Woestina Elementary in Rotterdam Junction, NY
PAY $15.50 per hour
JOB STATUS Part‑time, non‑exempt
HOURS 7:00 – 8:30 am and 2:00 – 5:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with hands‑on activities following our Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academic adventures, artsy creations, and more.
Help with homework and create a safe, healthy, and fun environment where kids can thrive.
Serve as a positive role model and maintain a warm, approachable demeanor.
Stay connected with parents and family members via the Playground App, and keep them updated.
Follow OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school rules with professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent, or at least one year of experience working with preschool‑aged children.
Medically cleared and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with children, families, and staff.
Reliability, punctuality, and high professionalism required.
Physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds, and able to perform varied physical tasks necessary to support an active environment.
