Title: School Bus Driver - Stroudsburg Area S D
Job Goal Provides safe, efficient, and orderly transportation services to district students, athletes, and extra-curricular participants.
Essential Functions
Safely drive a school bus to pick up children at various locations and transport them to and from school following prescribed route and schedule.
Provide transportation for field trips and other school-sponsored activities as assigned.
Adhere to safety rules when loading and unloading children; assist students with disabilities or in need of assistance.
Maintain discipline, report student misconduct, and maintain confidentiality with all district information.
Maintain up-to-date route schedule, student roster, seating chart, counts, and mileage reports; keep emergency info sheet for each student.
Transport only authorized passengers; perform pre-trip inspection, report repairs, keep interior and exterior clean.
Observe all mandatory safety regulations; report accidents and equipment malfunction; enforce no smoking and eating on bus.
Attend required training; maintain valid CDL license with “S” endorsement, school bus endorsement, physician’s certificate; keep first-aid knowledge.
Qualifications Education : High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a training program (Required).
Work Experience : 2-3 years transporting students of various ages (Required).
Licenses and Certifications : Valid Commercial Driver’s License with “S” endorsement and clean driving record (Required).
Travel Requirements : 90% of time spent transporting district students (Required).
