Registered Vascular Technologist - Elmhurst - Vascular Testing

Position Highlights
Full-Time, 32 hours/week
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities
Patient and Appointment Preparation: prepares examination rooms, cleans, sterilizes, stocks supplies, escorts patients, and obtains pertinent information for patient/exam documentation, billing and coding.
Non-Invasive Testing: performs all non-invasive vascular testing in accordance with the Vascular Laboratory’s Policy and Procedure Manual, ICAVL standards, OSHA regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
Provides Preliminary Results: uses the MERGE application to document patient demographics, including mandatory encounter details such as primary indication for testing, diagnosis (ICD-9 codes), CPT codes and referring provider; develops a preliminary impression and communicates any findings or pathology requiring immediate attention to the Vascular Surgeons.
Quality Assurance: collaborates with the Lead Registered Vascular Technologist to maintain ICAVL accreditation and the periodic reaccreditation process.
Attends quarterly QA meetings and participates in a rotating schedule for the correlation process.
Qualifications Education and/or Certification/Licensure
Associate degree in ultrasound or certifications from an accredited ultrasound diagnostic school.
Current Registry by ARDMS for Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
Proficient in arterial and venous studies, as well as carotid and some abdominal work.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in an accredited non‑invasive vascular laboratory.
Compensation : Base pay range of $35.25–52.90 per hour, with actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
