Location: 2155 N. Westwood Blvd., Poplar Bluff, MO
With the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Southeast Regional Office, Administrative Unit.

Salary note:
The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years‑of‑service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed the range listed above.
Position Summary:
This senior‑level office administrative position requires independent work decisions for detailed administrative functions or processes, involving familiarity with specialized terminology and/or software. The ideal candidate is highly organized, flexible, supportive, and capable of carrying out assigned responsibilities with considerable independence while delivering excellent customer service and collaborating in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Direct incoming calls and walk‑ins, adhering to the department’s values of good customer service.
Distribute incoming mail to the appropriate program and/or individual.
Handle purchasing responsibilities following required policies, procedures, and contracts.
Reconcile bill pay documents for accuracy, following policies and procedures.
Review and process technical correspondence: proofing for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
Provide support to the environmental programs and the administrative team members.
Manage annual office inventory.
Perform other related work as assigned.
Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Available to work 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. schedule, with occasional overtime and overnight travel.
One or more years of experience in administrative office work preferred.

Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates courtesy, empathy, and tolerance; develops and maintains effective relationships with diverse individuals and respects cultural, racial, gender, disability, and individual differences.
