We are seeking an experienced Underground Pipe & Inspection Services Operator to perform field operations for underground utility inspection, cleaning, testing, and rehabilitation. This hands‑on role involves operating specialized equipment—hydro‑excavation units, CCTV robotic cameras, high‑pressure jetting systems, vacuum testing rigs, and trenchless rehabilitation tools—while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with municipal, state, and environmental standards.
Base pay range
$56,000.00/yr - $62,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Operate CCTV inspection systems to assess sewer and storm pipelines and capture detailed footage. Perform Cross Bore Inspections using robotic or push cameras to document utility conflicts. Conduct Mandrel Testing to verify pipe roundness and integrity in new sewer lines. Execute high‑pressure jetting and vacuum operations for pipe cleaning. Operate Vacuum Trucks for manhole testing, debris extraction, and system maintenance. Perform Air Pressure Testing on new or rehabilitated sewer and storm drain systems. Conduct Hydro Excavation to safely expose underground utilities and confirm locations. Apply epoxy lining systems and perform chemical grout injections for joint sealing and repairs. Mix, apply, and properly cure epoxy materials according to manufacturer specifications. Ensure precise measurements, correct application rates, and strict quality control for all rehabilitation products. Follow all company, OSHA, and DOT safety requirements at all times. Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment for safe and reliable operation. Document field operations with accurate reports, photos, and digital logs. Implement traffic control setups and ensure public safety around work zones. Participate in safety meetings, tailgate talks, and hazard assessments. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver's license (CDL Class A or B preferred). 2+ years operating vacuum trucks, hydro excavators, and/or CCTV inspection equipment. Ability to read sewer maps, plans, and as‑built drawings. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of underground utility systems. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs. Preferred
NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP certification. Confined Space Entry and Competent Person certifications. Knowledge of municipal utility standards and testing requirements. Experience with chemical grouting, epoxy lining, or trenchless rehabilitation. Core Competencies
