Full Time Merchandiser – Central Garden & Pet – Durham, NC
Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for both proprietary and consumer‑recognized brands, is searching for a full‑time Merchandiser to manage product displays in home‑improvement centers such as Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Walmart. The role involves stocking and arranging displays for grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery.
Measures of Success
Down‑stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden grass seed, chemicals, bird feed, fertilizer, and clay pottery.
Setting and maintaining shelves according to retailer‑mandated planograms and modulars.
Installing and maintaining off‑shelf display opportunities for Central Garden products.
Engaging with consumers on weekends during peak season (training provided).
Ideal Candidate Attributes
Previous merchandising experience preferred.
Strong communication skills for interacting with store management and consumers.
Strong reading skills for understanding packaging labels and re‑tagging projects.
Must be able to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the workday.
Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack, and hand‑powered tools.
Valid driver’s license in the state of residence, good driving record, reliable transportation,
