ON-CALL NUTRITION SERVICES SUBSTITUTE
performs duties under the direction of the Food Services Manager for the purposes of helping with:
Responsibilities
Food prep and food distribution for consumption by students and school personnel; assist in setting up breakfast or lunch for students and staff.
Washing dishes and running the dishwasher to maintain safe and sanitary conditions; assist in cleaning the kitchen.
Assist other personnel as may be required to support them in completing their work activities.
Qualifications
Prior food service/prep experience helpful.
Knowledge/experience in operation of industrial‑size dishwashers helpful.
Knowledge of modern methods of food preparation, health codes, and sanitation principles.
Abilities to stand and walk for prolonged periods; understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Physical abilities include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, and hearing conversations or other sounds; visual acuity and depth perception.
Bilingual/Bicultural preferred.
Oregon fingerprint and criminal background check clearance required.
Current State of Oregon Food Handler’s Card required.
Hours per day vary / TBD – breakfast and lunch service times on call basis only; entry‑level substitute position.
