Responsibilities
Manage and maintain all project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle, from initiation to closeout.
Review and authorize Daily Work Report (DWR) payments in SiteManager.
Review payrolls in LCPTracker to ensure compliance with TxDOT Construction Contract Manual (CCM) requirements.
Monitor Diversity Management System (DMS) records for compliance with the TxDOT Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program.
Define standards and workflows for document management and lead the collection, authorization, publication, storage, retrieval, and retention of documents.
Establish (within corporate or client guidelines) the document control strategy, systems, and procedures, including authoring, approval, publishing, version control, and archiving of all project‑related documentation.
Maintain the master electronic project files and ensure proper version control and access management.
Prepare records for inactive storage in accordance with the approved Records Retention Schedule; copy and scan documents as needed for distribution and archiving.
Manage and audit document control processes and systems to ensure proper control and availability of documentation to authorized personnel.
Provide training and support to project staff on document control procedures, record retention policies, and project management systems.
Review new and revised documentation for suitability and conformance to WRA and TxDOT standards.
Perform and support quality reviews and audits related to document control procedures.
This position requires a regular on‑site presence in the field office to collaborate closely with project personnel and TxDOT representatives.
Requirements
Associate's degree in construction management, engineering or other related field. 8+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.
6+ years relevant project controls and/or technical administrative support experience.
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Must have a personal vehicle for travel to and from assigned construction sites.
Overnight in‑state travel may be required.
Physical Requirements (Essential Functions) This position requires the ability to perform a variety of physical tasks in the field as part of the essential job functions. Duties may include:
Walking and navigating across rough or uneven terrain such as mud, rocks, grass, dirt, steep hillsides, heavily wooded areas, and other unpaved surfaces.
Moving around active project sites, which may involve climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles.
Performing physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and climbing.
Remaining in a stationary position—either standing or sitting—for extended periods of time.
Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Driving to and from project sites which may involve distances of up to or exceeding 200 miles round trip.
Must be able to function safely in an environment with potential risks, including, but not limited to those described in this document.
Must be willing to work nights and overtime, when required by the project assignment.
