As a Cook Lead, you’ll prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience for residents. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will help create a positive mealtime experience while honoring individual dietary needs and preferences.
Responsibilities
Prepare & serve meals – Ensure quality, taste, and nutrition meet high standards for residents.
Follow food‑safety guidelines, maintaining clean and organized kitchen spaces.
Accommodate dietary needs, including allergen‑free and modified meals.
Manage inventory – track food and supplies to ensure availability.
Support teamwork – assist with training and mentoring of cooks, and take the lead of daily operations as needed.
Other duties as assigned – duties listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned.
Job Requirements
Previous cooking experience in healthcare, hospitality, or restaurants preferred.
Food‑safety knowledge preferred; ServSafe certification a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to pass state‑mandated background check.
Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
