Eastman Healthcare and Rehab Center is currently seeking an energetic
Receptionist
with a go-getter attitude to join our team in Eastman, GA. Base Pay Range
$12.00/hr - $14.00/hr Responsibilities
Operate paging/telephone system as required. Answer telephone; determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department. Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assist with Patient Trust Fund, as directed by Business Office Manager. Greet visitors. Direct to appropriate office and/or resident room. Give directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc. Assist with administrative duties as directed (typing, filing, posting accounts, etc.). Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed. Operate copier, office machines, etc., as directed. Operate computer as directed. Order supplies, as directed. Assist department directors in administrative matters (typing reports, correspondence, etc.). Attend in-service education programs in order to meet facility educational requirements. Be familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill & Evacuation Procedures and know how to use the information. Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information. Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse. Protect the personal property of the residents of the facility. Others as directed by the supervisor or administrator. Qualifications
Organized and detail-oriented in work performance. Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience. Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility. Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures. Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined. Perform Essential Duties as outlined above. Subject to frustrations in meeting work demands due to frequent interruptions. Fast paced, required to make decisions quickly. Involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances. May work beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary. Subject to call‑back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post‑disaster, etc.). May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals. Seniority Level
