Ponder Environmental Services is seeking a reliable and safety-focused
Class A & B Driver (Vacuum/Rolloff)
to join our field operations team. In this role, you will operate a variety of company-owned vehicles and specialized equipment including vacuum tankers, roll-off trucks, dry vans, stake beds, box trucks, hydro excavation equipment, air movers (guzzler trucks), vacuum/jetter combo trucks, winch trucks, and flatbeds to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.

What You’ll Do
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks (including truck and trailer combinations over 26,000 lbs) with or without trailers
Transport non-hazardous and hazardous materials according to DOT and environmental regulations
Conduct and document thorough vehicle inspections (DVIRs) and maintain ELD logs
Hook up, disconnect, back up, and secure trailers, and manage load tie‑downs
Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and procedures
Operate vacuum trucks, roll‑off trucks, hydro‑excavators, and specialty machinery
Perform equipment fueling, fluid checks, and basic vehicle maintenance
Follow approved routes, including Hazmat routing, with no unauthorized stops
Maintain clean, fueled equipment and communicate regularly with dispatch and shop personnel
Perform washouts, placarding, and site containment setup where required
Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other equipment as needed on job sites
Complete accurate paperwork including shipping documents, JSAs, work orders, and inventory forms
Assist field crews with site work and uphold safety standards at all times
What You Bring
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of commercial driving experience in transportation, hazardous waste, or industrial services
Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and basic digital workflows
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle operation
Experience operating vacuum trucks, roll‑offs, and heavy equipment preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), and Double/Triple Trailer endorsements
Clean MVR and ability to meet DOT and company insurance standards
40‑Hour HAZWOPER Certification with ongoing 8‑hour annual refresher training
TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
