Roseville Area Schools Community Education is seeking committed, energetic and creative staff to work in Out of School Time Programs with youth in grades K-8. Multiple positions available. Staff will assist in developing and implementing program activities that reflect the interests, talents, and learning styles of students, act as a positive role model to diverse youth populations and ensure student safety within the program. Position Type: Community Education Schedule: Part Time - Split Shift Position (Mornings: 6:30/7:00am - 9:00/9:30am, Afternoons: 1:45pm/3:00pm/3:45pm - 5:30pm/6:00pm). Must be available to work 4-5 days out of the week. No weekends. Assist in developing and leading program activities that cater to the interests, talents, and learning styles of students. Ensure activities are engaging and educational. Ensure safety and well-being of all students; supervise during activities indoors and outdoors. Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating respect, responsibility, and professionalism. Support behavior management in a large group, using positive discipline techniques. Collaborate with other staff to plan and implement program activities, events, and student engagement strategies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff; share information on progress, safety, and updates. Participate in daily outdoor activities and assist students with physical tasks; ensure engagement and activity. Attend weekly staff meetings, contribute to planning of activities, and engage in continuous education opportunities. Qualifications
Required: 18+ years of age, high school diploma, experience working with school-age youth, strong program development & communication skills, ability to be outside daily & lift up to 20lbs, reliable transportation, availability for staff meetings and continuing education, DHS background check. Preferred: Knowledge of youth development, experience with large group management, experience developing lesson plans & facilitating learning, experience with diverse youth population, specific interests in technology, recreation, science, literacy.
