Hilo Driver - Perishable role at Jetro Restaurant Depot
Responsibilities
Responsible for warehouse operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading activities of product processing and documentation.
Before storage, count all product, compare to the manifest, and check inbound shipments for damage, infestation, and production dates.
Report shortages, overages, or damage to the appropriate manager.
Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and consignee address to the customer order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment as required, and assist in loading/unloading of product moving into or out of the warehouse.
Participate in physical inventories as required.
Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas and operate in a manner that promotes safety.
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouses.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a service, production, or support role with responsibility to perform standard work within the function.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One year of experience in a related area of responsibility.
Experience using technology to perform daily tasks, including familiarity with MS Office applications, web navigation, and basic hardware functions.
Strong oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; ability to quickly build rapport with internal teammates and Smart Warehousing business units.
Proven initiative to accomplish tasks creatively with a sense of urgency and assertiveness.
HiLo Operator responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise; may also perform Order Filler and Checker duties.
Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
Physical Demands
Consistently required to sit, talk, and hear; may need to climb, crouch, or crawl.
Operate equipment using hands to fingers; manually carry and move merchandise.
Drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
