Muskegon, Michigan, United States. Position Type: Part-Time. Responsibilities

Deliver the Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance curriculum and evaluate each segment of the curriculum. Collaborate with the Internship Coordinator to ensure meaningful educational experiences for students. Be on site and available during 100% of classroom teaching time. Delegate classroom responsibilities to guest speakers as needed to enhance student learning. Teach assigned courses which may include day, night, and online formats, at the main campus or extension centers; ensure classes start and end on time. Prepare, submit, and maintain reports related to student learning; grade assignments and provide timely feedback; calculate final grades in accordance with institutional deadlines. Provide educational assistance to students during posted times or by appointment. Encourage student opinion survey completion and use results to inform improvements and support student success. Maintain professional knowledge and comply with required training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Meet the requirements for training by the Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance and have completed the training; minimum of 2 years nursing experience in public health. Demonstrate ability to develop and use instructional technology and implement interactive teaching strategies; evaluate student learning outcomes. Maintain and support a customer-service oriented culture to assist students and department leadership. Be detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to handle confidential information appropriately; communicate effectively with college staff at all levels. Show flexibility, integrity, humor, and creative problem-solving abilities; work with diverse populations. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Be willing to learn preferred reporting tools used by the College; be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary. Essential Functions

Teach courses (in-person and online) and be available for scheduled times, including evening hours; classrooms may be on-site or at extension centers. Establish and promote an effective learning environment that maximizes documented student learning. Prepare and maintain reports related to student learning; assess and document progress. Grade assignments in a meaningful and timely manner; return feedback and final grades by institutional deadlines. Provide educational assistance to students during posted office hours or by appointment. Encourage completion of student surveys and use results to inform improvements. Maintain professional knowledge and participate in required training. Perform other duties as assigned. Equal Opportunity
